Airship Fights Turbulence at 70,000 feet

The tandem airship flipped over, but this clip shows the swings in its climb to the record altitude of 95,085 feet for dirigible flight. Luckily, the new 4000 gram latex balloons held together until one of them burst (shown in another video). The tandem dropped out of the sky with one balloon still inflated. Thanks to Bob the hunter, tandem was found snagged on a bush in the remote Nevadan desert. Bob was seen from tandem’s canera even as he phoned us to report the strange object. – L Paul Turner
